Seagate is a leading American data storage company. One of their division ”Seagate Data Recovery” is there for you to rescue your data on damaged memory drivers etc.
Although Seagate has a strict clean desk policy. They were still on the look for a decent solution to keep their frequent used tools ready to pick to increase work efficiency. As their recovery workbench are compact (about 120x60cm) Seagate requested a smaller solution than the Model 25.
Together with the global datarecovery manager at Seagate we discussed a custom version based on the model 25.
We got the challenge to make it smaller and increase the tool capacity.
By removing the front trays we managed to reduce the dept with 6cm making it only 14cm deep. At the same time we increased tool capacity but keeping it all clear. In order to maintain the possibility to store small parts we made a new front tray extension.
This Wrepair Station Model 20 ESD is now the standard solution on every workbench at the Seagate Datarecovery centers.
Coolblue is a Dutch e-commerce company that was founded in 1999. The company operates one of the largest webshops in the Benelux and Germany with 15 physical shops in the Benelux.
Coolblue physical shops offer instant mobile repair service for all common brands. For their 120x75cm workbenches they needed a compact tool holder.
Having a compact workbench every inch counts. Although we presented the Model 30 as a suitable solution it was still taking 25% of their workbench in witdh and 22,5% in depth.
We understood the problem and while we were thinking how it should look like, the Coolblue manager had already figured out by showing his hand as a ”knive” to cut of 1/3 of Model 30. Thanks to the symmetrical lay-out we were able to do that and steel keep it looking clear. This resulted in going from 31cm to 22,5cm in width. (almost 33%) Thanks to our in house R&D team and ”Made in Holland” we managed to engineer, produce and deliver out the stations in less than 6 weeks to all the Coolblue repairshops in the Benelux.
To keep it future proof we designed an additional extension that can be mount on the backside to increase tool capacity if needed. The Wrepair Station Model 25 ESD is standardized on every Coolblue workbench.
SIGLENT is an international high-tech company, concentrating on R&D, sales, production and services of measurement products.
The service department of SIGLENT Europe needed a solution to organize their tools in specific their 1/4 bits, which they use frequently.
To help them out we made a bit holder that can replace the front side trays on the Wrepair Station model 40 and 45, holding up to 14 bits in 3 types of length.
First row: small bits 29mm
Second row: medium bits 50mm
Third row: larger bits starting from 70mm length.
On the bottom of the bit holders we made separate chambers to fit small neodymium magnetics. With this innovation the bits are always magnetized and besides it makes easier to switch bits.
The bit holder is printed out of though resin which made it possible to provide small quantities. With the Wrepair Station the possibilities are endless…you say it we make it! Available on request
Wera Werkzeuge GmbH also known as Wera Tools is a manufacturer in high quality handtools, founded in 1936 in Wuppertal Germany.
Wera is known for its line of screwdrivers featuring the distinctive Kraftform shape handle. This design is based around the contours of the hand during screwdriver use, and uses a specifically designed combination of ergonomic soft zones and smooth, hard zones. The distinctive ‘crowns’ from this handle are used as part of the Wera logo.
The Wrepair Station screwdriver holders are specially designed to hold the Wera kraftform micro series. however the Micro torque screwdrivers with halfmoon bits are wider. To make it fit for the Wrepair Station we made a larger screwdriverholder thus making it also possible to use bigger screwdrivers. To keep the halfmoon bits ready to pick we made a bitholder with the same magnetic function as we did for SIGLENT. This innovation makes it also possible to change bits with one hand.
